I stupidly performed an update on my Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 controller. This lead to the controller right and left sticks not returning to center. More often than not, it gets slightly stuck either to the right or left.

I ended up returning it for another one since I was still in my return period. The second one does the same exact thing. I tried downgrading the firmware, but the issue remains.

I know it’s not the best quality controller, but it does work very well. Also, it has four paddles vs. two on the Dualsense Edge.

I searched high and low, and it looks like Gulikit announced back in December of 2024 that you can now install their TMR sticks, as well as calibrate it with the XBox Accessories app. However, I couldn’t find many people who accomplished this install along with having great success with their calibration.

I also found a few posts on reddit about a prior firmware update that was returning the stick to center via software – and people were pissed, and complaining about this.

I have a feeling that the issue they were complaining about is what I actually liked about the sticks.

For now, I’ve gone back to using the Playstation Dualsense Edge with Gulikit Edge modules installed.
